I think it is ABOUT time to add something to my ABOUT page.
I graduated college a few years ago from University of Delaware…GO BLUE HENS…and started my career in marketing/advertising. So far, I’m really happy with my career choice and the creativity it allows.
My love for food started at a young age. I clearly remember “experimenting” with foods to serve my little sister, sorry Steph. I would make handmade menus, which featured options such as my jelly bean drink surprise.
Growing up as a vegetarian (seafoodatarian), since I was able to make my own choices on meals has influenced my interest in food as well. My Mom has fought me since Elementary school to eat meat. Now in my mid 20s, her Italian instincts still keep her from understanding why I won’t eat a chick cutlet or a meatball :). At least I love pasta!
Now that I am on my own and able to really put thought into my cooking and meal choices, I am having a blast experimenting and trying new things. I read cookbooks in my free time, search for new restaurants to try and am an avid watcher of the Food Network (to my boyfriend’s dismay).
